Dr. Francis Petruccelli

Dr. Francis Petruccelli, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away on October 29, 2017 at Holy Family Manor. Born on February 15, 1930 in Bangor, PA, he was the son of the late Leonard and Mary (Falcone) Petruccelli. He was the husband of the late Mary (Mertens) Petruccelli; they were married 53 years.

Francis was a veteran having served with U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a dentist in the Navy and attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He received his Masters of Science in Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed his Postdoctoral Orthodontics Degree at Columbia University. He had his own orthodontic practice in Bethlehem until his retirement in 1997.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Catherine M. Bryan and Lisa C. Petruccelli; grandchildren, Peter and Ann Marie Bryan; sister, Yolanda Rachman; and nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Francis Petruccelli; brother, Dr. Nicholas Petruccelli; and sister, Dr. Sylvia Zaladonis.

A calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday Nov. 18 at the Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Road, Bethlehem. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
