Dr. Jeffrey Peter Decrosta

Dr. Jeffrey Peter DeCrosta passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 surrounded by his wife, children, and loving family at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the devoted husband of 35 years to Katharine Joan (Parvel) DeCrosta and proud father of his daughter, Lauren Ashley DeCrosta and son, Jeffrey Peter DeCrosta, Jr. He was the beloved son of Thomas and Lorraine (Michael) DeCrosta.

Dr. DeCrosta graduated from Freedom High School in 1974. He received a bachelors degree from Rutgers University in 1978 and earned his D.D.S. degree from Temple University Dental School in 1982. He began his dental career in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania and opened his own practice (Jeffrey P. DeCrosta D.D.S., P.C.) in Bethlehem in 1985. He was also the proud owner of West Side Dental Associates and SGD Dental Laboratory in Bethlehem.

Dr. DeCrosta took pride in caring for his patients and maintained long-term friendships even after retiring from practice. He was a friend to everyone he met and always ready to greet people with a big smile and a warm handshake. He was known for his good sense of humor and ability to make people smile. Dr. DeCrosta will forever be remembered for his kindness towards others, his loving nature, and for his determination in the face of adversity.

He was a past member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Leadership Bethlehem/Leadership Lehigh Valley, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks No. 191, Good Fellows Club, Regular Fellows, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Jefferson Democratic Club, West Side Republican Club, North End Republican Club, North End Wanderers Athletic Association, and the Bethlehem Clubmens Association. In his free time, Dr. DeCrosta also enjoyed golfing, traveling, cooking, and watching sports, especially football.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Kathy; daughter, Lauren Ashley DeCrosta and fianc, Basil Nasereddin; son, Jeffrey Peter DeCrosta, Jr.; his parents, Tom and Lorraine DeCrosta; and brothers, Thomas DeCrosta, Jr. and Scott DeCrosta.

The family will receive guests on Friday, September 9, 2016 at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St., Bethlehem, PA 18017.
