Dzovig Georgette Tarpinian

Dzovig Georgette "Georgina" Tarpinian, 58, of Bethlehem Twp., died Saturday,

May 5, 2007 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 15, 1948 in Dire-Dawa, Ethiopia, the daughter of Garabed and Barbara Eskidjian Simonian.

She was the loving wife of Dr. Vick Tarpinian. They were married on January 21, 1974 in Adris-Abeba, Ethiopia.

Georgina worked as a Midwife Nurse. She graduated from Midwifery School in 1974 in Yerevan, Armenia. After graduating, she returned to work in Ethiopia, the Ivory Coast in Africa and Australia. In the 1990?s, Georgina and her husband moved to Bethlehem, and started their family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dr. Vick Tarpinian of Bethlehem Twp.; parents, Garabed and Barbara Simonian of .Australia; daughters, Thaline Tarpinian of New York; Annie Tarpinian of Bethlehem; brother, Harout Simonian of Australia; sisters, Helen Paltekian of Australia; Isabella Cocchioni and Veronica Notarantonio both of Rome, Italy; and her loving beagle, ?Mocha?.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 12, 2007 at 11 a.m.

at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020. The family will receive friends from 9:30-11a.m. in the church.
