E. Peter D'Ambrosio

E. Peter D'Ambrosio, 86, of Bethlehem, PA passed Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Blough Health Care Center in Bethlehem. Born June 20, 1924 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Antoinette DelloGacono and Peter D'Ambrosio. He was married to the late Helen Boldizsar D'Ambrosio with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Peter worked with the U.S. Post office for 33 years retiring in 1980. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. Peter was a member of the Windish Hall, the Hellertown American Legion, the Fountain Hill American Legion where he was a former Adject. He was also a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

Peter will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Peter D'Ambrosio and wife Marcia of Allentown and David D'Ambrosio of Folsom, CA, siblings, Mary wife of Angelo Vastano of South Plainfield, NJ, Rose Dryden of Newport News, VA, Michael D'Ambrosio of Venice, FL, Ann Yurasek of Bethlehem and Gloria wife of Carl Miller of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Anthony and wife Hillary, Derek and Shelby and one great granddaughter, Hannah.

Peter was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel D'Ambrosio, sister Rita Grquinovic and three brother-in-laws, Bill Dryden, Richard Yurasek and Frank Grquinovic.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM and again on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 8:45-9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave, Bethlehem, PA 18017 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Peter's name to St. Anne's Catholic Church.
