Edith L. Kalas

Edith L. "Pat" Kalas, 85, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, January 18, 2008 at Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's.

She was born in Hellertown, the daughter of the late George and Mazie Nagley Funk.

Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years, Joseph Kalas of Bethlehem.

She retired from Holtz after several years of service as a Sewing Machine Operator.

Pat will be lovingly remembered by her family; husband, Joseph; children, Susan wife of Bruce Miller of Auburndale, FL; Karen Judd wife of Francis Supanek of Bethlehem Twp.; Barry Kalas husband of Donna of Clearlake Oaks, CA and Cathie husband of Bruce Benway of Salisbury Twp.

She is also survived by her three brothers, George of North Carolina; Eugene of Ocala, FL and Clarence of Quakertown; as well as her grandchildren, Kevin and Mark Miller; Shelly Horvath; Scott and Timothy Benway; and great grandchildren, Amanda Miller; Dylan and Cailey Benway.

Pat was preceded in death by her two sisters Elizabeth and Edna and two brothers Norman and Herbert.

The family will receive friends from 6-7PM on Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. A memorial Service to celebrate Pat's life will follow in the funeral home at 7PM.
