Edward A. Weiss

March 23, 1921 — December 4, 2014

Edward A. Weiss Jr., 93, of Bethlehem passed away early Thursday evening at Kirkland Village. He was born in Allentown, Pa., son of the late Edward and Minnie Weiss of Greenawalds, Pa. Edward was a graduate of South Whitehall High School Class of 1939, and served in the US Army during WW II, stationed in New Caledonia, Okinawa, and Korea, with the 29th general hospital. After his tour of duty in the Army he returned to Sear Roebuck & Co. and retired after 46 years. He was a volunteer in Little League Baseball where he served as coach, league president for Northwest Little League, and District Administrator for District #20 Pennsylvania, totaling 42 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Edward A. III and wife of Florence, NJ, and Stephen and his wife and their son Erich of Williams Twp. He was predeceased by his loving wife Minnie and daughter Elicia.

Funeral services will be held 11AM on Thursday December 11, 2014 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. No calling hours. Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers please direct contributions to Mercy Special Learning Center, 830 S.Woodward St. Allentown, Pa. 18103 where his daughter, Elicia attended school.
