Edward F. Broczkowski

Edward F. Broczkowski, 85, of Bethlehem died on Sunday January 9, 2011 at St. Luke?s Hospital, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem on March 12, 1925, he was the son of the late Ludwig and Agnes Zarudny Borczkowski. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Caroline A. Szivos Broczkowski.

Ed was a professional firefighter for the city of Bethlehem for 31 years before retiring in 1983, and then worked 7 years for First Valley Bank, Bethlehem. He was a life long member of Our Lord's Ascension Polish National Catholic Church, Bethlehem, where he served as treasurer and council president. He was also a Pacific Theater veteran of the Navy having served during WWII.

Ed will lovingly remembered by his wife, Caroline of Bethlehem, sons, Mark E. and wife Wanda of Binghamton, NY, Daniel L. and wife Tara of Bethlehem, and Edward F. Jr. and wife Gail of Bethlehem Township, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his son, David A., brother, Walter, and sister, Frances Fasesky.
