Edward Faraldo, 66, of Freemansburg, passed away on Friday May 22, 2015, at Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was born on May 30, 1948 in Bethlehem, son of the late John Faraldo and Frances (Karc) Faraldo of Bethlehem. He was the husband of Christine (Tina) (Rakos) Faraldo. They were married for 48 years this past October. Edward was the owner and operator of Garis Motors in Bethlehem Twp. from 1994-2013. He was a veteran of the US Army, including the Vietnam Conflict, Sgt. First Class at the 213 Supply Co. and 3623 Maintenance Company, serving for a total of 25 years. Ed was a classic car collector and enthusiast, always tinkering on his restoration projects. He often participated in car shows and cruise nights with his wife and friends. He and his wife enjoyed many cruise vacations to the Caribbean.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Christine (Tina), mother Frances, and daughter, Lynn Yacone (Michael) of Kunkletown, brothers Bernard Faraldo (Charlotte) of Whitehall, and Anthony Faraldo (Barbara) and Joseph Faraldo (Lynn) both of Bethlehem, sister, Lisa Haller (Wayne) of Engelwood, Fla., and grandchildren, Ryan, and Bryce.
Funeral services will be held 11am Friday May 29, 2015 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. A viewing will be held from 9-11am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Indian Town Gap Cemetery at a later date.
