Edward H. Wayne

Edward H. Wayne, 90, of Bethlehem Township, died on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at St.Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill. Born November 18, 1915 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Herman and Apolonia Pauline Wayne. He was the loving husband of Stefana M. Yankowski Wayne of Bethlehem Township. Edward worked as a firefighter for Bethlehem Steel. He retired in 1977. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, Steel City Gun Club, MORA Club and a past member of the Wanderer?s A.A. He will be lovingly remembered by, his wife, daughters, Carolyn Kwiatek, wife of Frank of Bethlehem; Georgia Polansky of Harleysville; four grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer, Mark & Scott and five great-grandchildren, Emily, Joshua, Aleksander, Ariana & Samantha. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bridget Kovacs and a step-brother, Richard Wayne.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church 429 Hayes St. Bethlehem.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, October 25, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
