Edward Hughes, 59, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at St.Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill. Born July 12, 1947 in Pennsylvania, he was the son of Margaret Hughes and the late Edward Hughes.
He was the loving husband of Lucille Limpar Hughes of Bethlehem.
Edward was a retired police officer for the City of Bethlehem.
He served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Marines and received a Purple Heart.
He was a member of Ss Simon & Jude Catholic Church of Bethlehem.
Edward will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lucille, mother, Margaret,
sons, Brian and his wife Denise, Edward, daughters, Bridgett and Elizabeth, brothers, Jim, Mike, Tom & Joe, sisters, Margy and Kathleen as well as four grandchildren, Bryn, Lana, Brayden & Reece. He is also survived by five nephews and 4 nieces.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Ss Simon & Jude Catholic Church 730 West Broad St. Bethlehem.
Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospital Outpatient Dialysis Center 801 Ostrum Street Bethlehem, PA 18015
