Edward J. Baran

Edward J. Baran, 82, of Bethlehem, died Thursday March 29, 2007 at the Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke?s, Lower Saucon Township. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Veronica H. Vavrek Baran. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, the former Eva A. Wignovich. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel and worked in the beam yards for many years before retiring in 1986. He was a member of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Survivors: wife, Eva of Bethlehem; sons, Michael and his wife Laureen of Lower Saucon, and Joseph of Moorestown; daughter, Beverly Baran of Denver, CO; sister Florence Sorvorsky of Bethlehem; grandson, Jody Baran and his wife Diana; granddaughter, Claire Baran; great granddaughters, Sara, Gabriella, Kayleigh and Trista.

He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Baran, Jr., who was the late husband of Gail.
