Edward J. Crawford

Edward J. Crawford, 61, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, November 28 at St. Luke's Hospice House. Born February 25, 1949, he was the son of Rita Ferrell Crawford and the late John E. Crawford. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sally Sevick Crawford.

Edward was a graduate of Lehigh University and obtained his Masters Degree in Special Education from Syracuse University. He held various administrative positions at Centennial School, Intermediate Unit 20, and Bethlehem Area school District, retiring as Principal of East Hills Middle School in 2009.

Edward will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sally, his mother, Rita ; sons, Sean M. Crawford, Daniel P. Crawford, Barkley Wyckoff and his wife Melissa, and Jerry Wyckoff and his wife Eppie; daughter Maggie Kyler and her husband Bret; Sisters, Rita Marie D'Addio and Eileen Crawford; Grandchildren Barkley, Vivian, Andrew and Audra. Edward was preceded in death by his father John E. Crawford, and his first wife Maureen O'Connor Crawford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem. Visitations will be held Friday, December 3 from 6-9 PM and Saturday December 4, 9:15-10:15 AM at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem.

Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
