Edward J. Repyneck, Sr., 89, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Hospice House of St. Luke's, Bethlehem.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late, Kalman and
Mary Sukic Repyneck. He was the loving husband of the late Catherine M. Sculac Repyneck, who died June 19, 1976.
Mr. Repyneck worked for Bethlehem Steel as a foreman in the Brass Foundry for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW. He was a lifetime member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Bethlehem.
Edward will be lovingly remembered by his son, Edward J. Repyneck, Jr. of Hellertown; his daughter, Kathleen, wife of Dwight Fulmer of Macungie; brothers, Steve of Perkasie & John of Bethlehem; eight grandchildren, Jason and his wife Bethany, Christopher and his wife Holly, Travis and his wife Denise, Todd and his wife Robin, Joshua, Jonathan, Jessica Catherine and Kristen, as well as nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Charles, Harry, Louis, & William Repyneck and his sisters, Mary Melada, Helen Illes & Anna Banko.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. St. Anne's Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem. Visitation will be from
8:30-9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
