Edward R. Albertson

Surrounded by family, Edward R. Albertson, 74, welcomed Gods eternal embrace on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 while in St. Lukes Hospice. Born on November 21, 1938 in Bethlehem, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Teresa (Souver) Albertson. He was the devoted husband of C. Patricia (Wright) Albertson; they were married 53 years.

A retired federal bank examiner, he was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic, Moravian College class of 1960; and Rutgers University Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Edward was a parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help; active in the churchs Eucharistic Ministry. His strong faith and love of family sustained him through his battle with lung disease.

Edward “Pop”, is survived by his wife, Patricia; three sons, Edward and his wife, Cathy, Thomas and his wife, Sherry, Daniel and his wife, Terri; his sister, Dorothy Mesaros and her husband, George; brother, Dennis and his wife, Jan; seven adored Albertson grandchildren, Erin, Carly, Eddy, Tommy, Claire, Jillian and Daniel; as well as 11 nieces and nephews.

Services: A viewing will be held Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
