Edward Scipio

Edward Scipio, Sr., 51, of Bethlehem, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at St.Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. Born November 19, 1960 he was the son of the late John and Stella May (Bryant) Scipio.

Edward worked for the Community Service Group. He also worked as a PIAA Official Basketball Referee. Edward was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Bethlehem where he served as a Deacon. Edward also volunteered at the Boys and Girls Club in Easton as a basketball coach. He was an avid fishermen and sports fan. He proudly served his country in the US Navy.

Edward will be lovingly remembered by his son, Edward Scipio, Jr., daughters, Sheena Scipio and Tredressa Stragratanio, brothers, John, Chris, Eric, Shawn and Spooty Scipio and five grandchildren, Diamontae, Damoni, Antoine, Jazmine and Johnavone.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Giovonnie Gordon.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa 18018 from 6-9 PM. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at the Second Baptist Church 1016 Wood St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 11 AM.
