Eftihia (Efie) Valianatos, 73, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. She was born in Farsa, Kefallonia, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Gerasimos and Kyriakoula (Panagiotithou) Benetatos.
She is survived by her husband, Theofanis; two sons, Mike Valianatos and his wife, Marita of Bethesda, MD; and Pete Valianatos and wife, Michele, of Sudbury, MA; sister, Antonia Kallipolitis and brother, Takis Benetatos both of Greece; and four grandchildren, Zoe, Teo, Cristina and Sophia as well as her extended family and friends.
Efie worked for B Braun Medical for 39 years in quality control. She was a very active member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Bethlehem and participated in the Daughters of Penelope, and Philoptohos. In her free time, Efie took great pride in her baking, cooking and cleaning.
A viewing will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem, PA. 18018. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be held at Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Connell Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements. Send online condolences to www.connellfuneral.com.
