Eileen Young

Eileen Sinnott Young, loving wife, mother and grandmother, died of complications from lung disease on November 22, 2007. She was 62. Eileen was born on October 2, 1945 in Bethlehem, PA and was a long-time resident of both Scottsdale, AZ and Abington, PA. She was dedicated to her family?as they were to her?including her husband of 41 years, Ford Evans Young III, sons Ford, Bill and Brian and her five grandchildren. She was the daughter of Bill and Anne Sinnott of Bethlehem, PA and sister of Maryanne, Jane, Biddy and Helen.

Professionally, Eileen was a residential mortgage-banking executive in Pasadena, CA and Scottsdale, AZ. For several years she was a board member and president of her homeowners? association in Scottsdale. Previously, she was a teacher in the Philadelphia, PA area and worked in accounting in Pittsburgh, PA and Louisville, KY. Eileen earned an associate?s degree from Manor College and a bachelor?s degree in elementary education from Chestnut Hill College.

Eileen was beautiful in every dimension, was an inspiration to her sons and will be deeply missed. A graveside service honoring her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on November 29 at the Holy Saviour Cemetery at 2575 Linden Street in Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Eileen?s name be made to the Phoenix, AZ or Bethlehem, PA chapters of the American Lung Association.
