Elaine M. Esterly

Elaine M. Esterly, 78, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Muhlenburg.

Born on October 27, 1945, in Easton, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth Irene (Smith) Mohn.

Elaine was a simple woman, but she was also a firecracker—she loved to have fun, dance, and joke around. Above all, her family meant the world to her, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and especially loved her cats.

Elaine will be dearly missed by her son, James (Migdalia) Esterly; daughter, Sherry (Michael) Horwath; sister, Charlotte Gier; daughter-in-law, Amy Esterly; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elaine is preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, David P. Esterly; son, David P. Esterly, Jr; and brother, James Mohn.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a memorial service beginning at 10:45 a.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
