Eleanor Bounassi

April 2, 1924 — January 8, 2008

Eleanor Buonassi, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully, Tuesday January 8, 2008. Born April 2, 1924, in Bethlehem; she was the daughter of the late Gregor and Anna Koraus Sniscak. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Michael C. Buonassi.

She graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem and Business College in Texas. She was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Payroll Department. Eleanor spent a year with her husband, living in Brazil along the Amazon River, while he taught school to Bethlehem Steelworkers' children. She enjoyed daily walks, reading and nature. She was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Survivors: husband, Michael; daughter, Amy Buonassi; and sister, Dorothy Cressman, all of Bethlehem; brother, Harry Sniscak of Whitehall.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 826 E. 4th St; Bethlehem, PA 18015.
