Eleanor Hosak

Eleanor T. Hosak, 95, a resident of Macungie and formerly of Lansford, PA, passed away on October 31, 2024. She was born on October 6, 1929, in Lansford, PA, daughter to the late Michael and Helen (Shearson) Taptich. Eleanor was the devoted wife of the late Peter J. Hosak.

Eleanor was a graduate of Palmerton Hospital School of Nursing. Upon graduation, she began her career as a registered nurse in 1950 and additionally served as nursing supervisor and director of infection control prior to retiring in 1992.

Eleanor is survived by her son, Reverend Peter Hosak, former pastor of Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem, PA.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Francis Taptich.
