Eleanor J. Mickley

Eleanor J. Mickley, 85 of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Country Meadows in Bethlehem. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Evan and the late Mary Scouris.

Eleanor worked for many years in the Human Resources Dept at Easton Hospital as a nurse recruiter, until she retired in 1991.

She was a 25 year volunteer at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA, and an active member in the URW Club of Easton, PA. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing with several area clubs.

Survivors She is survived by her daughter Susan D. Jones, sons Robert Jones and his wife Susan and R. Louis Mickley and his wife Susan as well as her step sons E. Kirk Mickley and his wife Elaine and Jan Mickley and his wife Mildred and step daughter Jill Mickley, and Eleanors companion, William Meckes of Whitehall. She had six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Eleanor was predeceased by her step daughter Sherry R. Plano.

Services The family will receive relatives and friends at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 from 4:30pm until 7:00pm.
