Eleanor McHale

Eleanor M. "Ellie" McHale, 83, of Bethlehem passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024. Born on March 21, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Sara A. (Amelio) and Anthony Alonzo.

Ellie graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She spent her career as a teacher in the Bethlehem Area School District. Ellie enjoyed drinking, dancing and music as well as baseball and sometimes she became a little loud as her neighbors can confirm. She loved spending time with her dog, Windsor, a beautiful Golden Retriever. She was a lifetime member of the Democratic Association in Bethlehem and she enjoyed jogging throughout town.

She is survived by her son, Michael Wunderly (Lillian); grandson, Mark and longtime companion, Harry W. Johnson, Jr. Ellie was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Alonzo.

Services will be held privately.
