Eleanor V. Jones

Eleanor V. Jones, 88, of Bethlehem died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. Born Aug. 27, 1927 in Hawthorne, PA she was the daughter of the late Beulah (Nulph) and Robert Wensel. She was married to the late Morris Stanley Jones. Eleanor worked for Just Born Candy for 35 years where she decorated the peeps and bunnies. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Bethlehem. She was an avid collector of chicken and rooster statues. Eleanor also loved to knit, making blankets and sweaters for her family and friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her, daughter, Susan Sandor and husband Joseph, son, Robert Jones and wife Conni, sister, Donna Parleman, eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by sons, Ronald William Jones and Stanley Joseph Jones, grandson, William Sandor, sisters, Dorla Saddler, Dorcus Heater and Connie Christner and a brother, Bill Wensel.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E.; Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM. A calling hour will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 10-11 AM followed by a service at 11 AM in the funeral home.
