Elizabeth A. Mccarroll

On Saturday, August 23, 2008, Elizabeth McCarroll, beloved mother,

grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her

family. Elizabeth was 79 years old but forever young at heart.

Born in Bowmanstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late David and Mamie

Blose Smale. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years,

Lewis Arthur McCarroll, in 1989. She was preceded in death by her brother

Russell Bradley and baby sister Louise Smale.

She retired from Lucent Technologies after 20 years of dedicated service and

was a former member of the AT&T Pioneers.

Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Sandra Podhany of

Allentown and Bonnie, wife of John Charles Beattie of Winston-Salem, NC; and

three grandsons: Montana James Podhany, John Hathaway Beattie and James

Arthur Beattie.

Her loved ones take comfort in remembering her kindness and compassion, and

she will forever live on in the hearts of her daughters who will always miss

their mother and dear friend's companionship, sweet laughter and love.

Arrangements have been made with the guidance of Connell Funeral Home, Inc.

Bethlehem. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at

12:30 PM at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer

Society 3893 Adler Place Bethlehem PA 18017.
