Elizabeth Burak

Elizabeth Burak, 63, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, December 23, 2010 with her family by her side.

She was born August 20, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY; the daughter of the late Henry "Hank" and Anna Zaba Burzelewski.

Liz is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Robert Burak.

She dedicated her life to educating children. Liz served as a Teacher, Administrator, Principal and Director of Secondary Education for the Bethlehem Area School District. She also worked as Principal at Stroudsburg Middle School.

Liz will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bob; daughter, Elyssa Beck and her husband Michael of Bethlehem Twp.; her son, Christopher and his wife Lory Robles of Berkeley, CA and her brother William Burzelewski and his wife Linda of Tucson, AZ. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Isobelle, Collin and Mason.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 from 2-4 PM and again from 6-8 PM immediately followed by a candle lighting ceremony at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 10 AM at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18018.

Entombment will be held at the Holy Saviour Mausoleum.
