Elizabeth C. Bush

Elizabeth C. Bush, 99, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at her home.

Born April 7, 1922, in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Elizabeth (Kauker) Bush.

Elizabeth received her primary education from Holy Infancy Elementary and her secondary education from Bethlehem Catholic High School. She was also a graduate of Allentown Business School.

Following her education, she worked in dining services for Bethlehem Steel.

A devout Catholic, Elizabeth was a member of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

In her free time, Elizabeth loved to cook and bakeshe also enjoyed being around people.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, the late Joseph J. Bush, who died January 2, 1993; one sister: Marie Ortwein; one sister-in-law: Caroline Simon; and one brother-in-law: Jim Simon.

Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters: Maryellen Bush and Eileen Okenhouse; two grandsons: Eric Ockenhouse and Richard Ockenhouse, Jr.; and five nieces: Karen Metzger, Carol Hawkins, Martha Ortwein, Regina Ortwein, and Cathy Ortwein.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 10:00am in Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Family and guests will meet inside the entrance to the cemetery, then process to the gravesite.

Arrangements are under the care of Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street, Bethlehem.
