Elizabeth Hartley

Elizabeth M. Hartley, 95, formerly of Freemansburg and Bethlehem, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Westminster Village.

She was born in Freemansburg, the daughter of the late Joseph and Teresa Roseman.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Orville W. Hartley.

She was the Secretary and Vice President of Hartley Trucking from 1940 until 1975. She later worked for Moravian Academy until she retired in 1985.

Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kathleen McHose of Bowie, MD; Dianne Howlett and her husband Patrick and Linda Holowathy and her husband William all of Allentown.

She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Elizabeth was a lifelong member of the Girl Scouts and enjoyed being associated with the PTA.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 9-10:15 AM at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 First St. Bethlehem, PA 18020 on Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 11 AM.
