Elizabeth J. Donofrio

Elizabeth J. Donofrio, 53, of Bethlehem died Thursday evening, August 27, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She and her husband, Philip A. Donofrio were married for 33 years. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Betty Bernocco DeJesse.

Elizabeth was a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. She graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1973. She was a positive thinker who was always giving of herself to others. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, vacations and had a great knack for working with numbers. Most of all she was a loving mother to her two children, P.J. and Jessie.

Survivors: husband Philip A, son Philip J, daughter Jessie E. all at home; sisters Linda Dorton of Havertown, Debbie, wife of Gary Malantrucolo of Las Vegas, Nevada, Peggy wife of Al Gentile of Pottstown and Joanne, wife of Paul Higgins of Cape May Court House, N.J.. She is also survived by very close family friends, Chad and Whitney.

Friends and relatives may call on Saturday, August 30 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St, Bethlehem from 9:00AM - 11:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30PM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasaqua Ave., Bethlehem.
