Elizabeth M. Oravec

Elizabeth M. Oravec, 91, of Bethlehem, died on Saturday, January 7, 2012. Born in Hellertown on February 11, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Mika Mitch. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph M. Oravec, of Bethlehem.

Elizabeth was employed by Metro Decorator's as a seamstress where she worked for numerous years. She was a member of Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, Bethlehem, and of the Holy Ghost Senior Citizens.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Joseph A. and wife, Patricia, of Bethlehem and Denis and wife, Joanne, of Warrington, PA; daughters, Terese Fischer, and husband Raymond, of Bethlehem and Cecelia Oravec, of Easton; grandchildren, Joseph and Thomas Oravec, Lauren and Alexander Fischer; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony, John and Joe; and sisters, Tess and Emma.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, where viewing hours will be held on Tuesday January 10th from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday in the church from 9 to 10 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday in the Incarnation of Our Lord Church, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, 18015. Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
