Elizabeth Marie Holva

Elizabeth Marie Holva, 82, of Bethlehem Twp., died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 4, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 31, 1929; daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Meilinger) Bolash. Elizabeth is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Michael J. Holva, Sr.

She was a parishioner for 64 years of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp.

Elizabeth enjoyed cheering on her children, then grandchildren at their athletic events. She was an avid fan of Notre Dame High School, Lehigh University Sports and the Phillies.

Elizabeth dedicated her life to her family, she cared for her parents and aunts and uncles into their senior years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Janet wife of Edward DeSipio of Havertown, PA; sons, Michael J. Holva, Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Bethlehem Twp.; Joseph M. Holva and his wife, JoAnn of Easton; James M. Holva and his wife, Chris, of Bangor; and David G. Holva and fianc, Michelle Pizzo of Collegeville, PA; as well as 14 grandchildren, Brooke, Jeffrey, Joseph, Lori, Michael, Kristen, Amanda, Blair, Jimmy, Kaitlyn, Claire, Matthew, Alex and Andrew and one great- grandson, Gehrig and her aunt Anna Meilinger and sister-in-law, Shirley Bolash. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph W. Bolash.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem PA 18018 and again on Monday, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
