Elizabeth P. Melo

Elizabeth P. Melo, 52, of Allentown passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 16, 2023 in her home. Born on May 12, 1971 in Reims, France, she was the daughter of the late Armanda Pereira Da Gandra and Fernando Rodrigues De Aroujo. She was the wife of Rui M. Melo.

Elizabeth was an unconditionally kind, thoughtful and compassionate go-getter. She returned to Portugal as an infant and later immigrated to the U.S. for a chance at a future and family of her own. She broke away from many expectations her past had for her to achieve not only her dreams but her own peace. She enjoyed watching her Soap Operas before dinner, trying new recipes while hosting events, and tending to her gardens outside. Her family was her world and being the best mother she could be was the most important thing to Elizabeth.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 25 years, Rui M. Melo; daughter, Nicole Melo; brother, Alberto Carlos Pereira De Araujo and stepson, Joshua Becker.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.
