Ella Fondl

Ella S. Sik Fondl, 81, of Bethlehem, died peacefully on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Trexler Pavilion of Holy Family Manor.

She was born February 19, 1929 in Bethlehem the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Czik Sik.

Ella was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert I. Fondl.

She retired in 1989 after 30 years of service as a Layout Operator for AT&T.

Ella was a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem where she was a member of the Sodality.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Roberta Ortwein and her husband Richard of Collegeville, PA; Janice Sporta and her husband Tony of Bethlehem; Paula Caggiano and her husband Ralph of Canadensis, PA; Bob Fondl and his wife Lora of Bethlehem and Beth Kitzhoffer and her husband Mark of Wind Gap as well as her 12 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; niece Jill Weber and nephew Jeff Handwerk.

Ella was also predeceased by her sister, Helen Handwerk.

She was a proud Musikfest Flower Committee Volunteer for 15 years.

Ella will be remembered for her kind spirit, her enjoyment of traveling with her family to the Jersey Shore and the selfless way she lived her life.

A viewing will be held at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St .Bethlehem PA 18018 on Monday, July 12, 2010 from 7-9 PM and again on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 10 AM at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
