Ellen D. Miller

Ellen D. Miller, 65, of Ruchsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in her home. She was the loving wife of Robert N. Miller; they would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on April 26th. Ellen was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late George D. and Stella (Lopert) Russ.

She graduated from Liberty High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Penn State University. Ellen was previously employed by Crime Victims Council of Lehigh Valley and the Lehigh County Office of Children and Youth. She was most recently employed by Northwestern Human Services as a Program Specialist and also worked as a guest teacher in many Lehigh Valley school districts.

Ellen will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert; sons, David and wife Donna of Winterstown, PA; Christopher of Seattle, WA; Jonathan and wife Lauren of New Castle, PA; grandchildren, Jack, Dylan, Carly, Maggie, Ava and Ethan; nephew, G. Donald Russ, III, and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, George D. Russ, Jr.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, shopping, shows, tailgating, trips to the beach, and spending time with family. She will be missed by family and friends.

Services: A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday April 27th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 3900 Mechanicsville Rd. Whitehall. Viewing will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. Entombment will be at Holy Saviour Mausoleum, Bethlehem.
