Elmer J. Braun, 87, of Bethlehem, PA died on Monday, May 7, 2007 at the Hospice House of St. Luke's.

He was born in Newport, KY the son of the late Elmer and Bertha Groeschen Braun.

Elmer proudly served his country in the U. S. Army as a Staff Sgt. in the South Pacific during WWII.

He is survived by his loving wife Pat Braun, they celebrated their 64th Anniversary this past Sunday.

Elmer worked for the State of Tennessee as a Tax Accountant in the Employment Security Department.

He was also a realtor. He was a member of the N.W. Bergen Board of Realtors in Bergen County, NJ. Elmer later taught Realtor classes at Bergen County Community College.

Elmer was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Elmer was a charter member of the Council of St. Luke's in Bergen County.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Pat; and sons, Patrick E. husband of Barbara of Glenwood, NJ; David R. husband of Janice of Phillipsburg, NJ; Jeffry P. husband of Felecia of Oradell, NJ; and Michael J. husband of Susan of Somerset, NJ.

Elmer is also survived by his nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and his brother, John C. husband of Rita of Highland Heights, KY.

Visitations will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Thursday May 10, 2007 from 2-4 PM and 7-9PM

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 11, 2007 at 11 AM in the church.
