Elsie C. Ament, 97, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Saucon Valley Manor. She was born in Bethlehem; daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Feher) Salontai. She was the wife of the late John G. Ament who died in 1978.

Elsie was a hairdresser for many years. She was a member of the Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church and sang in the choir for many years.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Roberta wife of Patrick Boyle, Mary wife of Jerome Tatum, and Carolyn wife of Robert Kee; grandchildren, Matthew Boyle & wife Shupriya, Mitchell, Shawn and Chad Boyle, Daneen wife of Scott Weaver, Christopher Tatum & wife Tricia, and Michelle wife of Robert Hill; great grandchildren, Travis, Katie, Keegan and Kylee Boyle, Shawn Sadowy, Nicole and Taylor Cremia, Madison and Parker Tatum. She was predeceased by her brothers, Elmer, Andrew, Joseph; and sisters, Nellie Doncsecz, Laura Esposito, Grace Kern and Mary Salontai. She was also predeceased by two brothers who died in infancy.

Visitation will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Monday, Mar. 17 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. A 1:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial may be made in Elsies name to At Home Health and Hospice, 4315 Washington St., Schnecksville, PA 18078.
