Elsie & Gordon Fenicle

Bethlehem

Elsie (Kaiser) Fenicle, 97, of Bethlehem, passed away on March 23, 2025, at Holy Family Manor. Born on July 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Rose (Lukacs) and Joseph Kaiser.

Gordon R. Fenicle, 95, of Bethlehem, passed away on August 11, 2019, in his home. Born on May 22, 1924, he was the son of the late Lillie May (Hottle) and Harold William Fenicle.

Elsie was a graduate of Liberty High School class of 1945. She was employed by the Bethlehem Steel Company until she retired. She loved cooking and entertaining friends and family. She and Gordon traveled all over the United States.

Gordon was a graduate of Bethlehem Technical High School class of 1942. He served his country in the U.S. Amry Air Corp during WWII stationed in Warrington, England as an airplane engine mechanic. He became a photoengraver after the war and worked for Sanders & Reinhart Co. and the Globe Times.

Elsie is survived by her sisters, Elizabeth K. Federick, Jean Kaiser, and many nieces and nephews. Gordon is survived by his brother, Blake Fenicle and many nieces and nephews.

After 71 years of marriage, they were reunited in a private interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on April 1, 2025. Donations may be made in their name to Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites, 74 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
