Elsie W. (Windisch) Adams, 92, of Bethlehem, PA died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born June 23, 1921 in Salisbury Township she was the daughter of the late Anna (Sever) and Conrad Windisch. She was married to Joseph W. Adams who passed away on September 16, 1971.
Elsie worked for over 25 years as the Resettlement Coordinator for the Catholic Social Agency. She was a member of the former St. Josephs Catholic Church and recently at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Elsie attended Bethlehem Business College. She was a past president of the St. Josephs Womens Guild and also a member of the St. Bernards Womens Auxiliary.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Olga C. Kubaritz and nieces, Rita Kubaritz, Susan Schemmel, Sandy Fenstermacher and Beverly Peters.
Elsie was preceded in death by her brother, Geza Windisch.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Ss. Simon and Jude 730 W. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Elsies name to Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church or to Catholic Charities of Allentown Diocese 530 Union Blvd., Allentown, PA 18109.
