Erma D. Zelechoski

July 25, 1926 — April 21, 2023

Erma D. Zelechoski took Gods outstretched hand on April 21,2023 at Country Meadows in Bethlehem. She was 96 years young. Erma was the wife of Bob Zelechoski and had celebrated 70 years of marriage 4 years ago, shortly before his passing.

Born in Johnsonburg, PA, she was one of four daughters born to Vincent and Helena Diulio. Erma was a legal secretary early in life and later worked as an administrative assistant at the Frackville Mall. She raised her family of 5 children in Forest City and Frackville, both towns where she organized bowling leagues for children and teens and taught beginners how to bowl. She and Bob were avid bowlers, participating in leagues throughout their lives. She took up golf, “so I could spend more time with Bob”. Theirs was a life-long love story.

She made friends easily and could spend hours in conversation. She passed her “gift of gab” onto to her kids. Erma always had a smile for anyone new she met. Ermas faith in God was strong throughout her life. “Jesus, I Trust in You”. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Societies in the different Catholic churches she attended regularly. Erma survived two life threatening illnesses later in life and even survived having Covid twice during the pandemic. She will be dearly missed by friends and family. Death is not extinguishing the Light It is blowing out the Lamp Because the Dawn has come.
