Ernest Stark, Iii

Ernest Stark, III, 70, of Bethlehem, died on May 14, 2023. He was born December 27, 1952, son of the late Ernest Stark, Jr., and the late Ruth G. (Hyde) Stark.

Ernest will be remembered as a fun, generous, loving but firm man who adored his grandchildren and great nephews. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Seattle Seahawks. He never missed his son Ernies sporting events and later spent a lot of time at Ernies home to be close to family.

Ernest graduated from Liberty High School, where he was a member of the football team. He served as a foreman for the Streets Department of the City of Bethlehem, where he worked for over 37 years. Ernest was sociable and enjoyed spending time at the clubs he was a member of, including The Jeffs, Wanderers, and Home Association. He had fun assisting with breakfast at the clubs as well.

Ernest will be dearly missed by his son, Ernest Stark, IV and wife, Laura; sister, Debbie Paules, wife of the late Ozzie Paules; and brother, Daniel Stark, and wife, Donna. He was lovingly known as pap to his grandchildren, Elijah, Molly, and McKinley; and will be lovingly remembered by his niece and goddaughter, Sandy and husband, Harold; great nephews, Bryce, and Dustin; and great-great nephew, Kolton. Ernest was preceded in death by his sister, Saranda.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m., immediately followed by an opportunity to share words of remembrance at 7:30 p.m.
