Ernest Zver

Ernest Joseph Zver, 93, of Bethlehem, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Country Meadows. Born on December 30, 1930, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Anton and Anna Zver.

An Army veteran, Ernest held a profound love for science, which he portrayed through his profession and his everyday life, working as a chemist for JT Baker in Phillipsburg, NJ. His thirst for knowledge was evident in his passion for reading. Alongside his scientific pursuits, Ernest found joy in music, art, movies, and good food. Above all, Ernest enjoyed many trips to Cape May and New York City with the love of his life, Carole.

He is survived by his three children, David E. Zver and his wife, Cathy, Lynn Cech, and Lisa J. Zver; two grandchildren, Samantha and her husband, Jacob and Matthew and his fiance, Jen; and one great-grandson, Logan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carole; brother, Anthony Zver and sister, Margaret Youngkin.

Services will be held privately.
