Estella L. Cernobyl

Estella Cernobyl, 82, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Jack L. Cernobyl, Sr., with whom she shared forty years of marriage until his passing in 1992. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Boyer) Mesaros. She worked as a waitress at the former Walps Restaurant and in the cafeterias of the Bethlehem Steel, Bethlehem Catholic High School, and the Allentown School District.

Surviving are a son, Jack L. Jr. and wife, Stephanie of Bethlehem; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Cernobyl of Dover, Delaware; grandsons, Thomas and wife, Dorie of Fyffe, Alabama; Jeffrey and wife, Kellie of Bear, Delaware; Matthew and Mark and wife, Audrey of Bethlehem; great grandchildren, Morgan, Elaina, and Aaron; a brother, Charles Mesaros of Kings Mills, Ohio; sisters, Lorraine Conrad, Helen Kneller, Anna Pavlick, and Elsie Skoutelas all of Allentown and Mary Conrad of Bethlehem and a sister-in-law, Betty Mesaros of Harrisburg. A son, Jerome; brothers, Frank and Joseph and a great grandson, Justin predeceased her.

The family wishes to thank the staff of ManorCare and Heartland Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to Estella in her final years.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Thursday, January 29, 2015 (TONIGHT) from 6-8 p.m. A service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Highland Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 881 Marcon Blvd. Allentown, PA 18109.
