Ethel Frances Korpics

Ethel Frances Korpics, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2014. Ethel was born on April 24, 1918 in Bethlehem, to the late Anton and Anna Pinter, and was the widow of Joseph J. Korpics. She was an accomplished seamstress, and was employed at Pembroke Dress Company for many years. Ethel was a loving mother, doting grandmother, and adoring great-grandmother, with family always coming first in her life. She was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church, and a lifelong member of the First Windish Fraternal Benefit Society of America. Her cooking and baking skills were second to none and her Windish specialties were always appreciated by her family.

Ethel will be lovingly remembered by her family; daughter, Joanne and her husband Gary Kichline; son, George and his wife, Denise; four grandchildren, Anjanette Kichline, Marisa Hockman, John Korpics and Peter Korpics; and two great-grandchildren, Macyn Hockman and Jonah Korpics. Ethel was predeceased by her sister, Theresa Pinter; brother, Frank Pinter; step father, Joseph Horvath and nephew, Joseph Pinter, whose emigration from Hungary she facilitated in 1957.

A visitation will be held at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Friday, May 23, 2014 from 11:30 am- 1 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:30 pm at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church, St. Lukes Home Hospice c/o Development Dept. 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015, or to a charity of ones choice.
