Ethel V. Simmons

Ethel Simmons, 87, of Bethlehem, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Emery and Mary (Balogh) Boysza. She was the wife of the late Joseph T. Simmons, Sr. Ethel was a graduate of Liberty High School. Before retiring, she worked as a receptionist for the VNA. She was a member of: Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Independent Citizens Club and the Roosevelt Democratic Association, all in Bethlehem Twp.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Joseph Jr. & wife Mimi, Michael and David; daughters, Patricia Froehlich & husband David and Mary Koehler; 2 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Reith.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church, 1817 1st St, Bethlehem, PA 18020. An 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Contributions: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
