Ethel V. Zick

Ethel V. Zick, 95, of Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at St. Luke' s Hospice, Bethlehem. Born on December 13, 1915, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Mesich. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Zick, who died in 1961. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kalmon, who died in 1999. Ethel was a parishioner of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem. She was a member of the St. Anne's BVM Sodality and also a member of the Knights of St. George Women's Auxiliary at the former St. John Capistrano Church, Bethlehem. Ethel was employed in the Cafeteria Department of the Bethlehem Steel Company for 25 years. She enjoyed baking strudel, kiffles and other pastries for her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening.

Survivors: Ethel will be lovingly remembered by her son, George, and his wife, Eleanor, of Bethlehem; grandson, George and great-granddaughters, Kylie and Geena Zick of Schnecksville.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Inc. Bethlehem.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Ethel's name to the church.
