Eugene J. Boland

Eugene J. Boland, 85, formerly of Bethlehem Twp., passed away from natural causes on Saturday, March 16, 2013. He was born in Scranton, PA, the son of the late George A. and Mary L. (McDermott) Boland. He was the loving husband of Ann Marie Boland. They were married 46 years before her passing in 1998.

Eugene was the Vice President of Sales at Davis Beverage and Canada Dry Bottling Co. He was an accomplished boxer and ranked in the top ten middleweights during his career. Eugene was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and an Usher for many years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jeffrey Boland; Robert A. Boland; and Karen, wife of Barry Lieberman; his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christopher, Matthew, Michael, Tanner, Christine, Ryan, Joseph and Cassandra and his three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Damian and Jeffrey.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Boland and brother, George "Buddy" Boland.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church.

Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
