Eugene J. Zamadics

Eugene J. Zamadics, 93, of Bethlehem, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's in Lower Saucon Twp. He was born April 6, 1916, the son of the late Stephen, Sr. and Mary Donchez Zamadics. He was the loving husband of Helen M. Zebrowski Zamadics for over sixty years.

Eugene worked as a craneman at Bethlehem Steel for 46 years before he retired in 1979. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII; and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen, daughters, Barbara, wife of Steven Martin of Plainfield, N.J.; Jean, wife of Stanley Zweifel of Bethlehem; sisters, Edna Spevak, Mary Delluva and Elizabeth Peters all of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Jennifer Snyder & Amy Snyder & her husband Ben, and his two great-grandchildren, Michael & Abigail Dobson. He was preceded in death by his brothers, John F. & Stephen Zamadics and sisters, Christina Spevak & Theresa Kotash.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Monday, April 27, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Visitation will be Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Monday, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
