Eugene R. Stellato

Eugene R. Stellato, 96, of Westlake, Ohio, formerly of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away at home on Monday, February 20, 2023. Eugene was born in Fountain Hill on August 18, 1926 to the late Louis and Antoinette (Bambu) Stellato. He grew up in Bethlehem where he lived for 94 years. Eugene served our country faithfully in the Army during World War II as a Military Policeman. In 1947, Eugene and Katherine Blackton were married and remained devoted to each other for 62 years until Katherines death in 2010. Eugene was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Bethlehem and also attended St. Ursula Catholic Church in Fountain Hill. He spent most of his career working in the Engineering Department of Bethlehem Steel Corporation. In addition, Eugene worked for Shop-Rite as a front-end manager for over 25 years. Eugene poured his heart and joy into his family, friends, and work. He was there when it mattered. His faithfulness, strength, contagious fervor, generosity and wit will be remembered.

Survivors: Those left to cherish the memories of Eugenes life are Children: Jean Ann Stellato of Sun City Center, Florida. Louis E. Stellato and his wife Marsha, of Westlake, Ohio, Edward R. Stellato and his wife Nancy, of Melissa, Texas; Sister: Louise Schafer and her husband Gary, of Easton; 11 Grandchildren: Eugene, Emily, Jennifer, Dominic, Vincent, Anthony, Nicholas, Jonathan, Andrea, Tony, and Timothy; 13 Great- Grandchildren. He was predeceased by Son: Michael A. Stellato; Siblings: Betty Tartaglia, Fred Stellato, and Anna Stellato.

Service: Family and Friends are invited to call 10:00 - 11:00am on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church at 450 East Washington Avenue in Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. The Interment with Military Honors will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Online condolences may be offered at connellfuneral.com.
