Eugenia Meilinger

December 8, 1921 — December 4, 2015

Eugenia “Jane” Meilinger, age 93, died peacefully on December 4, 2015 at Gracedale Nursing Home. She was the last surviving child of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Potulinsky) Chaikowsky. She was the widow of Anthony V. Meilinger. Jane was a lifelong resident of Bethlehem, PA. During WWII, Jane worked at Bethlehem Steel as a “Rosie the Riveter.” She was a member of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church. She generously gave her time and energy to the Bethlehem YWCA, United Cerebral Palsy and her church.

Jane is survived by daughters Lydia Parry (Jim) of Easton, PA and Lisa Bistocchi (Ferdie) of Montrose, PA. “Jo-Jo” was the loving grandmother of Kaitlyn, Kristen and Annie Parry and Geena Bistocchi. She is preceded in death by grandchild Tony Bistocchi.

A celebratory memorial service will be held December 28th 1:30 PM at Country Meadows, 4005 Green Pond Rd, Bldg 4, Bethlehem, PA.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to Compassionate Care Hospice, Branchburg, NJ or Gracedale Nursing Home, Nazareth, PA.
