Felix Daniel Santiago

Felix Daniel Santiago, 76, of Breinigsville, PA passed away, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Vicneta Cruz and Felix Santiago. He was married to Theresa “Snooky” (Strohl) Santiago with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage this past December 31st.

Felix worked for Allen A. Myers Construction retiring after 35 years of service. He also was a Core Sergeant with the Salvation Army for 13 years. Felix was a very talented athlete, he was a former Gold Glove Boxer and played Triple A Baseball, he was also the first Hispanic baseball player to be inducted into the Blue Mountain League Hall of Fame. He would often volunteer his time with Hogar Crea and would teach Sunday school. Felix was a dedicated Christian and spent his life serving Jesus Christ his God. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and will be missed by all those that knew him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Theresa, children, Daniel Santiago and wife Christiane, Cynthia Santiago Pham, Dawn Santiago, Randy Santiago and wife Melissa, Jennifer Chamorro and husband Pastor, and Matthew Santiago and wife Stephanie, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 18 brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephews and a brother in law, Edward Strohl.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 7-9 PM and on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 12:30-1:30 PM. A service will be held at 1:30. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
