Felix Deleon

Felix DeLeon, 89, of Bethlehem, died on September 9, 2015. Born in Ellmont, TX, he was the son of the late Epigmenio and Rosa (Jimeniz) DeLeon. He was the husband of the late Helen (Transue) DeLeon who died in 1998.

Felix was employed by the Bethlehem Steel and retired in 1986. He was also the owner and operator of Felixs Taco Stand, Sunnyside Villa Restaurant in Allentown, and Esso Gas Station in Hellertown. He was a WWII Navy veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre and a member of the Hellertown American Legion. Felix was an avid gardener and passionate about all things automotive. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons: Romulo, Stephen, Kenneth and his wife, Monica and Felix Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Felicia Green; brother, Emilio DeLeon; sisters, Mary Buttillo and Catalina Hoven; and his many grand & great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, John Reiss; and sister, Julianna Alonzo.

Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Friday, Sept. 11, from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, Sept. 12, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 1st St, Bethlehem. Burial will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
